Being a parent is a journey. It’s magical, soul-defining, and let’s be honest, exhausting. You have a tiny baby one day, and a teen the next. There’s always something to make you stop and wonder, “where does the time go?” It can be unnerving. This is where I come in. I’ve got you. Capturing life’s little moments through photography is my passion. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard, “I don’t know how you captured this magic through all the chaos!” Life with little ones is chaos, but it’s also full of magic. I am a pro at finding the magic and managing the chaos!
When my boys came along, I started to understand the sometimes all-consuming nature of parenting, and the need to capture every stage before it’s gone. For me, it’s not just what your children look like as they grow. I want to capture the emotion of a moment. I want you to look at your images see the little quirks that make your kids special, and your family yours.
Growing up, my dad was always behind his camera. I remember when I was about 6 years old, acting like him, so proudly taking pictures of my family – only to get them printed and find I had cut off everyone’s heads! Now, I have years of experience and education on my side. I’ve photographed hundreds of newborns and families and I always challenge myself to continue learning.
I’ve had my own family pictures taken, and I understand how difficult it can be on your side of the camera. That’s why your experience with me is just as important as getting amazing images. I provide you with a prep packet to make the process EASY and fun – covering everything from how to get your family ready and what to wear, to what will happen during your session. I also take the time to get to know exactly what your goals are, and who you are as a family so that your photographs are unique to you, whether it’s family photography, newborn photography, your baby’s milestones, or even senior portraits!
What to know more?
I love cheese. I’m fueled by green tea (not coffee- gasp!). I listen to audiobooks through the library while I edit. I love to make people laugh (even at my own expense!). Sunset light is my favorite (I’d rather not see sunrise). And my favorite place to be is with my family, whether it’s movie night on the couch or out somewhere camping and hiking!
