Family Photographers Rochester NY | This pond is one of my favorite backdrops for family pictures. I’ve been going to this spot since I was a little girl, and my mom came here when she was a little girl. She told me that back then, the land was sand, and there were lifeguards, changing rooms and a concession! Now it’s a peaceful, quiet spot where you’ll find someone fishing, or on a bench enjoying the sunset. It can sometimes be tricky place for pictures. There’s nothing to shield the sun from shining right into my camera, and you’ll get a little wet if we wade into the water (which is still soft, sandy and shallow). As I tell my kids though, and as you can see from these images, sometimes the best things require a little extra hard work.
Last year my water sessions sold out in an hour, so I know it’s one of your favorite spots as well! I can’t wait to see what this summer brings. I’ll be opening summer sessions within the next couple of weeks. Keep an eye on my social media to find out when!
