Newborn Photography Rochester NY | I thought I’d share a little detail about how my newborn sessions work! I book most of my newborn sessions in the second trimester. Sometimes I’m completely booked a couple of months in advance, but I will always do everything I can to fit in a last minute baby if you didn’t think to book early! Because we never know when baby may arrive, I just mark down your due date when you book, and we’ll schedule a specific date and time for your session after baby is born. I only take a handful of newborn due dates each month to allow me the flexibility to schedule your session sometime in baby’s first two weeks no matter when he or she is born!
Before your newborn session, you’ll fill out a questionnaire that tells me everything you want (props, colors, poses, etc.) so I can have it all ready for you. Some families decide to leave all the creative detail up to me, and some families have very specific ideas. Either way, I’ll be ready to create some beautiful images with your little one. You’ll also receive my detailed newborn photography prep packet that helps you through what to wear, what to expect, and how to get ready. I’ve got you every step of the way, even before your session!
The day of your session, all you have to do is show up with what you need to feed baby if he or she gets hungry. I have all the props, hats, headbands, swaddles, burp cloths, diapers, wipes, coffee, tea, snacks, and comfy places to rest. I’ve had parents sit close, and chat with me. I’ve also had parents take a nap! I know how stressful becoming a new parent (or a second time parent, or a fifth time parent!) can be. Your newborn session should be time for you to relax and take in this amazing new person you’ve welcomed into your family.
After your newborn session, you’ll receive your downloadable, online gallery of images within two weeks. I promise a minimum of 20 images, but it’s almost always a LOT more. This little man below had over 60 images in his gallery! You’ll be able to download all of your images to your computer or tablet so you can save them forever. I’ll also give you a link for a custom mobile app with all of your beautiful images as well. There will be a print release in your gallery so you can print your images anywhere. You’ll also have access to order museum quality artwork right through your gallery if you’d like!
