When I first starting planning my Christmas mini sessions, I immediately thought of using the bed in my studio in Fairport, NY. It has a beautiful wrought iron headboard, white bedding, and I thought a pop of red Christmas jammies would look awesome! So, I was the crazy person that everyone looked at funny, buying Christmas jammies for my little models as soon as they hit the store in September (you read that right, September!). I thought I was done with the planning…

Then, more inspiration hit me! I was out shopping with a friend for my birthday and I came across an antique sled, the perfect size for little kids. The next thing I knew, the sled was mine, I was painting and distressing it’s seat and back in the store buying little Christmas trees the first weekend of October. I got some more side-eye in the store, but I got these awesome images when I got back to my studio…
